A female rock vocalist projects her raspy voice over the clash of guitar riffs and heavy metal percussion, making a political statement. She is a rebel, a freethinker, an avant garde celebrity figure. She is unconventional, unashamed and unafraid. Society may call her unattractive. But she knows beauty isn't always superficial. She prefers to be controversial.

Her tattoos tell her story. Through fluid intertwining illustrations they depict the symbolic characters in her music. Freedom. War. Media. Politics. The political symbols of the donkey and elephant meet the skull, the gun, and the cigarette, while the astronaut - symbolizing innocent, ordinary, everyday men with dreams - floats aimlessly, lost in the space between. The words on her fingers - "HATE" on her right and "LOVE" on her left - are the most evocative. They symbolize humanity's tendency to criticize, dealing out the judgemental blows with the predominant right hand, equally capable of spreading positivity but mostly unwilling and so leaving that ability curled up in the not so predominant left hand. She tries to be ambidextrous. But like most rock vocalists, she uses aggression to make her voice heard.
