One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest inspired me to create this picture. The cuckoo's (representing the medical testing ) taking nest in somewhere unwanted, pulling apart the mind and causing destruction rather than the intended healing . The image focus is on the craziness of the asylum in the book & film and the lucidity of the mind .
My other influences were from Native American art works as the perspective of the book came from the Indian patient.
