Everybody who works as a creative for clients knows the full mean of this quote. The unstoppable urge of the lesser gods (mostly clients) among us to misvorm artwork or ideas.
It's a statement against the "lets make everybody happy" and the "I don't care how it looks like just as long nobody can blame me for it" mentality that blocks innovation and creativity in general.
