My first ever attempt at painting a floral,and as I have a particular love of poppies I thought this would be a good choice.
From a very early childhood,I recall being taken by my parents to the Guildhall in Worcester UK every year when they had a Parade for Rememberance Sunday where people watched the Armed Forces march along the High Street to the Cathedral where the wreaths were laid.
I always wept because it is a poigniant ceremony and hence my goosebumps every time I see Poppies,so this is why I added the water beneath to portray my emotions on Rememberance Day.
