A Great Horned Owl native to Arizona perched on a dead tree looking straight at me as I approached to get this photo. This shot was taken well after sundown and the only light available was from the twilight. No flash was used.
These Owls are hard to find during the day because they like to stay hidden in the trees to keep out of the hot sun.
Note; the visible grain is due to the very low light conditions of the shoot, almost complete darkness.
