I went to Crosby Beach to see the Anthony Gormley artworks known as 'Another Place' where there are dozens of metal men planted on the beach and in the sea. It had been so popular that the local people complained when the men were due to be removed when the exhibition had ended. They are now there permanently. I didn't think to check the tide times so when I arrived on a bitterly cold January day, the men were nowhere to be seen.
In between the howling wet rainstorms, I managed to take this picture!
