Recently in Ireland (my first time) this is the first ruins that I had a chance to spend a little time at. It is the Kilmachduagh Monastic Site in County Galway. Not a history lesson but the earliest structures are from the 9th Century. Wow!
I was trying to really enhance the vertical aspects to this shot. I brought the brightness up just a bit and reduced contrast and highlights which accentuated the sky.
