Aww thank you Geoffrey! I treasure this picture because I had to get REALLY close to the spider to get the picture and that is a huge feat for me lol Photographing bugs is slowly helping me overcome my fear :)

I salute your courage. Although I'm not squeamish (dissecting a cadaver back in the day cured me of that), I treat black widow spiders with the utmost respect. Their venom is seriously toxic.

Oh wow, I don't know if I could ever do that. How amazing you are! But yes, They are very toxic, and we have tons of them out here in California :/
