You are now viewing my "Lace Flower" piece from my Flower Paintings collection.

This watercolor painting was done by painting in the negative shapes of the piece; so the white of the "white lace" is actually the white of the paper.

I liked the idea of relating the intricacy of nature to delicate art of lace-making. I wanted to capture the celestial essence that is contained within all things. From star constellations to the tiniest particles, everything has its perfect pattern.

This pic caught my eyes right away....it has some "mysterious" elements contained, which reminds me of Buddha and these ancient pairings in the stone caves along the silk road...
