I did ;) The greenish blue background represents the humble nature in which Christ was born - its also for a calming - the gold rays are the glory, acknowledging that this was no ordinary child, mary is dressed in this glory, and the red flowing from underneath the child is a representation of the blood he would shed 33 years later. Anytime I tell a story with a certain piece, color is very importante! :) Glad you like it DMRS. Thanks again.
Exactly what I thought about when I saw each color.
Perfect choices.
and amazing description, btw! :D
Awesome to know you put such attention to detail. :)
:) glad u noticed! I loveeee going to museums and reading the paintings or at least trying to! Sounds like youre really good at it! My personal series ( the tell me stories series) thats on here, everything has meaning, so im a big believer in illustrating those feelings in art! :) once again, Great eye! Thanks again DMRS!

You're an amazing artist! All of your work is beautiful :') You have done so many pieces that I love...Disney and Marvel :) But my favorites are the 11th Doctor (because he's the best lol and the way you designed the Tardis is fantastic) and the Christian ones because they are so inspirational and jaw dropping. I love your explanation as to why you used the colors that you did for this particular piece. I just purchased an awesome IPhone 5 cover by another Artist, but in the near future I fully intend to purchase this piece for my phone as well :)
Did you choose the colors to represent specific things? Or not? Or later you realized? Lol
Perfect choices.
