This digital painting is inspired by my 17 years in the north of Sweden. The winter lasted a long time (9 months) and the spring never came, and the summer some years was just as cold. I had potatoes that frose in the land in july. The winter before we moved to Herjedalen it was 54 degrees centigrade cold (1987). Our neighbour served the weather station in Kiruna with information so he hade an equipment suited for that weather. And then we only lived in Herjedalen (about in the middle of Sweden).

Thank you catspaws, I agree, south of sweden where I live now is terrible in the winter. But at least we get spring, and at least we have the various flowers to look forward to and wonderfull trees. In Herjedalen there is hardly anything but Birch and Fur trees. An then one single flower which doesn't die during the winter.

Thank you Shawn! Yes I thought that as all my paintings mean something to me and have some kind of history in the process I could as well tell others about it too. Who knows, perhaps they will sell better :-)
