- So I waited patiently for them to come. I was fed up of hearing them bay and scratch at the doors, and I was sick and tired of being scared by them; so I let them come and listened quietly as they broke their way into my house.
I knelt before them as they enclosed around me, each one a powerhouse of teeth and aggression. I closed my eyes and pictured my mother in my mind, I said a silent apology to her for every time I’d ever let her down or disappointed her. I thought about how much I loved her and how I hadn’t told her that nearly as much as I should have.
I imagined her face when they would find my remains the next day; I imagined her grief and pain she would go through upon discovering her daughter had been torn to pieces.
“She deserve better than that,” I whispered. “I will not let her see me like this.”
I rose to my feet and fixed my sight on the front door. If this is how I meet my end, it will not be on my knees.
I held my breath and began to walk forward. -

Reminds me of a nightmare i had when i was 7 or something, I too was fed up by being scared, so I let the dog bite and nothing bad happened, I then realised it was a dream and flew off:)
great work!
