In 1960, artists Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt met and formed a decade long friendship. When Hesse found herself in a difficult creative place in 1965, LeWitt wrote his friend a long letter of encouragement “Just stop thinking, worrying, looking over your shoulder wondering, doubting, fearing, hurting, hoping for some easy way out, struggling, grasping,…Stop and just do." This hand lettered piece illustrates LeWitt's advice to Hesse.
