This is a multilayered painting I have been working on. I did the octopus with blue ball point pen and added cut strips of plastic bags to promote awarenes of the Pacific Trash Vortex. Plastic lasts forever and so many animals mistake plastic for food and also get stuck in bags, plastic rings etc. It breaks my heart that there is nothing we can do to clean the damage but we can certainly help reduce our use of plastic and prevent the problem from getting worse.
