Thanks so much for the comments, I really appreciate them. I totally love Gaudi and his works - I was looking at the mosaics - are so very inspirational.
Thank you all for the comments, much appreciated, it is so great to get feedback! And Tracey I'm glad you like the colors and don't find them 'gaudy' - I guess I was a sucker for the alliteration of 'Gaudy Gaudi'... I may rethink this!
I love "dimensionally adhesive" - maybe it is about the paint textures 'apparently' rising up out of the flat? I'm flattered that you think it has a Gaudian feel - I do so admire his work - this is a take on his mosaics which I think are often over looked because his architecture is so 'out there'...
I think he had an organic vision of space and texture as well as what materials he used to create his master pieces. That is what had inspired me, aside from my best gurly friend from long ago, to do mosaic works.
Yes! That organic vision of space AND texture is what makes him unique... and inspirational. I like your note that you like to work with "glass, broken stuff" - the essence of mosaic!
This is such a great image that I'm pinning it to my Pinterest public S6 favorites board with the hope that it will drive more traffic to your wonderful art!
I really appreciate your feedback Nick and Gale. And thank you so much Wayne, I've been away for a while but have just checked in and seen the second sale of this design so I think I have you to thank for that!
I wouldn't necessarily say that I could take any credit for your sale... it's a great design! But, (just a heads up) my Pinterest boards are getting an incredible amount of repining action... dozens every day, and it's mostly happening on my S6 favorites board. It's very gratifying to me to know that I'm helping my peers!
