The zipperwoolfs live in small volcanoes in the Jaxani wastes, just before the Inner Oops. They come out every moon or so to eat the paisley tadpoles that wriggle free from the ears of sleeping infants. Zipperwoolfs consist solely on these hypnominnows, these oneiropoliwogs rippling through the quartz-and-candlewax firmament of Nehemia. As they soar they sup, and as they sup they sing, and as they sing they glow, whale-sized fireflies too high to spy from so far down below.
