Oh, Angela!! This took my breath away the moment I saw it! I love your new exploration of grey tones and subtle color. The line and form is gorgeous and the balance is perfect. Definitely on my (long) list of favorites of yours.
omg. Jacqueline - you are so sweet. It's is a new exploration. I've been so into gray hues lately. Just love them. I am so glad you like. It's weird whenever I make a piece I feel like I've created it before ... this one in particular.
AND your loose use of watercolors inspired me:) just fyi. I forgot about that. just thinking of why i went in this direction and have to say I was trying to loosen up a bit.
Minimal color, maximum form! My eye keeps trying to find the person in there... so much human form, body, face...keep looking.....also like your treatment of the shirt.
Thank you Sreetama! Thank you Pegeen! Thanks Catherine! I'm glad you see a body form/aspects in it and FORM ~ thanks ~ I guess without the color I'll have to amp up the form ... Good perspective. ... Thanks for all of the kind feedback ~ you all are so great on here.
All I know is that I absolutely L O V E this!! I especially love its paleness and the section on the right with color as a contrast to what is on the left. Superb!!!! xo
I am truly honored to have inspired you! The feeling is mutual. I like your looseness here, it works so well with the more controlled lines and forms. Maybe I should try to reign my watercolors in and exert a little more control, like you so expertly do :)
Hey all ... thanks so much for the great feedback and comments. I always appreciate it. Thanks, Jacqueline ... it seems to me you use the graphic aspect to offer control:) Heather glad you feel that ... it was like cavern walls to me:) Glad it resonates with even with the simple grays inourgardentoo and GaleStorm, greta, wayne and Angelo ~ thanks again.
