I'm in knee-high grass when all of a sudden, a loud cacophony of honking emerges from somewhere around me. I'm startled by the noise and to my right are three very unwelcoming geese who seem to think that if they charge me fast enough, they can take me down and feed me to the fish.
Then they start coming at me honking and hissing. Both the heron and I are disturbed by the unnecessary confusion and noise so I put some distance between them and I by getting back in the car.
These three little peckerheads were determined that this was THEIR territory and they began to peck the side of the car. There was no way I was going to let these knuckleheads chip the paint so I made my way off. It was about that time I noticed a middle-aged woman who approached from the other direction in her little Honda. She was stopped and obviously amused at my predicament. When I drove off, the birds blocked her exit and began pecking her car. My guess??? She's probably not so amused anymore. :-)
