I found a big jar of antique matchbooks at my neighbor's yard sale in Orlando, FL almost 10 years ago. Apparently the husband had passed away and this was one of his prize possessions that his wife did not value...I got it for 2$. He had been collecting these matchbooks everywhere that he went from the 1950's to the 1980's and it seems that he travelled alot. I've often daydreamed, trying to place myself in his long-lost moments.
I took my favorite ones and made this arrangement. It's a reminder of an era of American life, when adventure was only a smoke away...

That is so neat! I love old matchbooks! They're little works of art all to themselves!
This picture makes me want to start collecting them!
