by Blackthorn

Framed Art Print

DESCRIPTION

Choose from a variety of frame styles, colors and sizes to compliment your favorite Society6 gallery, or fine art print - made ready to hang. Fine-crafted from solid woods, premium shatterproof acrylic protects the face of the art print, while an acid free dust cover on the back provides a custom finish. All framed art prints include wall hanging hardware.

"Be Mighty Among Us" began as a sketch of a woman lying face down on the ground with blood seeping out benath her head, the third eye on her forehead open and staring. Next, behind and above her, came the horse. Then the Serpent, who at first was a cobra, but then lost his hood and gained horns. Then he grew wings. Then a torch emerged from his forehead. Next came the lion's head, which was at first at the crown of the prone woman's head, but soon her head disappeared entirely to be replaced by the lion. Lastly, the naked woman bent over the horse's back.

When I drew this piece, I had no idea what any of it meant as it evolved.

Looking over its completed form now, I know exactly what it is.

But what it means to you could be completely different from what it means to me.
