Apple has little or no standing to force you to stop distributing this. Not only is it obvious parody but Steve has no copyright over his public likeness.

The only company that might have standing here is Lucasfilms.

We have to stop letting big corporations use fear and illegal acts to stop new ideas.

Thanks everyone for the support. To answer all of the case requests ... no - I don't have any. I was only able to order 1 for myself before the C&D hit.

Apparently California civil code states that you cannot use a person's likeness or image in selling a product without their consent. It is up to the individual to uphold it. And apparently Steve Jobs is very strict about this and goes after everyone. People have tried to fight it against other celebrities (Arnold Schwartzeneggar) and have lost.

I had a skin for sale on Infectious.com under the name "CEO in Carbonite" and that got a C&D too ... they were afraid of the C&D so they had me change the name. It still got pulled.

But just to let everyone know, I have no cases on ebay. All of those are by people who ordered them just to turn around and sell them. Kinda crappy, but nothing I can do about it.

I am debating creating another of a different person. I have one in mind and will most likely do it soon.

there are fake versions on ebay. If the skin doesn't say SOCIETY6 or INFECTIOUS than it is a FAKE. Whoever created these stole my artwork and printed out cheap inkjet versions to sell.
