Eggs and Bacon Bay is a quaint seaside hamlet rarely visited by international tourists. The township itself is like stepping back in time with it’s beautiful 1800s buildings etc continually being restored & maintained by the local residents. It has everything to offer from the beautiful Bay, hinterlands, historic buildings, peaceful surrounds and a lot more! The residents believe the town got its name from where Lady Jane Franklin (18th Century Governor's Wife) once either ordered or was served eggs and bacon.
A nearby town called “Nowhere Else” is so named is less clear. The locality's name is taken from a 1920s farm, but this leaves the question of why the farm was called Nowhere Else.
