The Otway Fly is a 600 metre long 25 metre high elevated tree top walk ascending at a gentle grade through a magnificent stand of cool temperate rainforest featuring Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Mountain Ash.

For the thrill seeker a 45 metre high lookout is ascended via a spiral stairway through the understorey to emerge amongst the crowns of the giants of the forest. The Springboard cantilever (Similar to a diving board) bounces gently high over picturesque Young's Creek. The Tree Top Walk was opened in September 2003. It is the world's longest and highest tree top walk at 600 metres long and 47 breathtaking metres high. The development cost $6.5 million and received funding from the Federal Government.

Some of Australia’s best rainforest scenery can be found in the Otway Ranges behind Lorne and Apollo Bay. Walk among tall trees and giant tree ferns at Maits Rest, see ancient and intricate plant life, lush ferns and mosses at Melba Gully or experience the full beauty of the rainforest on the Otway Fly tree top walk.

Discovering high waterfalls in its narrow valleys, ranging from the impressive Triplet Falls to secluded falls over fern-fringed pools. Dramatic cliffs and secluded beaches can also be found along the shore at remote and beautiful Cape Otway.

Thanks Josrick :) At the right time of the day, between 10am - 3pm there are no insects, the height of these walkways are some 30 metres above ground level. Great experience :)
