Portrait of Vincent Price in the Laboratory

by Charlie Thomason

Stretched Canvas

DESCRIPTION

Fine art print on bright white, fine poly-cotton blend, matte canvas using latest generation Epson archival inks. Individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wrap over 1-1/2" deep wood stretcher bars. Includes wall hanging hardware.

Part of the "Fear" series. Sumi-e and colored inks on paper. 2006.

Vincent Price is my favorite actor of all-time. Personally, I feel his best work was 1971's "The Abominable Dr. Phibes," which I wrote about here: http://recycledfilm.net/the-abominable-dr-phibes/ .. This particular piece, however, is modeled primarily after the mansion in Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands," which was Price's last performance. He died less than a week before Halloween in 1993.
