Colorado Plateau

Stretched Canvas

$0.00

Fine art print on bright white, fine poly-cotton blend, matte canvas using latest generation Epson archival inks. Individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wrap over 1-1/2" deep wood stretcher bars. Includes wall hanging hardware.

March 2001. Took a 40 hour train journey from Denver to San Francisco and didn't stop looking out of the window once. Didn't even get to read my photography magazine as there was just too much landscape to look at.
This plateau is somewhere East of Grand Junction, at the Northern edge of the Colorado River Basin and is the last of the Rocky Mountain foothills before you get to the desert out West. This photo has sat in a drawer at home for ten years now and every time I take it out I wonder what's at the top of that plateau, and if I could ever climb up there.
One day I'll go back and find out.
