In The Ex-Boyfriend Series, I illustrated various angry, post break-up sentiments with bright, happy colors and carefully rendered typography. This series was born out of the need we all have to let out pent up feelings of frustration but I intended to do this in a way that is aesthetically pleasing. The series delivers a bit of punch by first pulling viewers in with flourishy, detailed lettering and then surprising them with raw and unapologetic bluntness.
