the observatory is 1 of 8 of its type in the world, only 1 in UK.There is one in Australia and New Zealand , and when it goes into full operation in October it will be linked to the other 7 observatories, we have very dark skies here in Ayrshire, great for star/moon photography and all photographers are more than welcome to come along, ask for me when you get there, i am head of security (what a great place to work)

i think so Chris but i maybe wrong, i do know that these observatories are made in Australia, i will find out when i return to work today where your one is
