Black Light for Diagrams Band
Black Light for Diagrams Band
Here's the recent illo I did for Amelia's Magazine's interview on the band Diagrams.
This one was inspired by the lyrics within their song "Black Light".

(This isn't actually the whole of the piece, however I felt this part of the piece that I did supply fit both the lyrics of the song and embodied most of what I was going for. So expect to see the piece in full in another post in the near future.)

Check out both the piece, interview and Sam Genders (Diagrams) music here: http://www.ameliasmagazine.com/music/...012/01/18/

The music is amazing and the videos that accompany songs like "Antelope" I really enjoyed. It's got great sound, pretty upbeat and found myself wanting to dance during "Black Light". His voice sounds a lot like Chris Martin, and Phil Collins. I wish I could find the lyrics to them to understand it more. While the songs I've listened to like "Antelope" and "Black Light" are like a narrative, sometimes the words will jump right into something else you weren't expecting. Happy I found Diagrams thanks to the brief.

ETA: Since the song "Black Light" doesn't appear to be within the article, check out the song referred to here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1DEg5c65ys
