thank you, Beth (very cute pic, btw) and Greta! thank you very much, Janet... these pieces are made by mixing fluid acrylics in different gel mediums (all types, including matte) and applying by knife. it's more or less experimenting and something newish to me, but essentially i was given an abundance of glass and became hooked on the effects the painting produced under a macro lens and with light transmitting. thanks so much for your interest and compliments, Janet! :)

It is interesting how a microscopic viewing of color and light has developed your style. I can definitely see how you have been mesmerized by this experience. It is great that you have found a way to develop a similar medium to share that experience with others. Great stuff.

thank you, Joan. these came about somewhat accidentally, so i'm really satisfied with the end result. i appreciate the organic nature of the paint in a modern application, and i really enjoy how the colors dictate the composition. it's always interesting to see what develops when i make these. glad to share and that you appreciate it, thanks again!
