No clue! He was a rescue and we got him when he was about 4 months... we've heard german shorthair, dalmatian, catahoula leopard dog, border collie, blue healer...

My dog is very similar in features, we took him from the shelter, 3 months old and very sick... he is a healthy young lad now, very friendly, has hunting skills. Probably a mix of some of those :)

Nice! Ours definitely has herding in his genes. He is super protective too.. very slow to trust, but a sweetheart once you have proved yourself to him.
