beautiful:) and sounds like a challenge from this imagery ~ I may seem frail at first, but rest assured ... I'm not. Lovely simplicity and tones and lines as usual~
Incites contradictory emotional responses. Investigate further? Flee? Stare dumbstruck? I suspect understanding its nature inevitably results in altering it forever, like cracking open an egg. I imagine it appears before profound change occurs, like the monolith in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. As always, though, I could be wrong.
Oooh, thanks Efi, open sesame indeed! Geoffrey - I think you may be right on the money with the egg and the prelude to a profound change. And I love the movie reference, I'll never be able to look at this piece again without hearing Ligeti!

for me i see weight- the weight of the stone nestled in something soft- taking shape...it's quite lovely!
Oh, thanks Luckii (can I call you Luckii?), I hadn't thought of that before, but now that you say it I did some sculptures of rock-like things resting of soft pillows.... maybe it came from the same subconscious place!
