The little death or my drawing? :) There have been a few re-posts lately (I've stopped writing "re-post" on every description) but this isn't one of them.... and thank you for the compliment.
Thanks Bryan and Joy, I really appreciate your comments! And Geoffrey, I'm glad you actually were being cheeky - I wouldn't want to have been presumptuous:)
Good. And I'll echo what Joy wrote and raise the stakes: I think I'd give up my camera gear if I awoke one morning to find that I miraculously had a talent for painting. Well, I'd leave one little camera just in case. That whole "Flowers for Algernon" thingy might be in play...
Thank you Steven, Ana and Efi, I'm very flattered by your incredibly kind compliments! And Sreetama - I'm so excited to get your print, I will certainly send you a picture - thanks again! xoxox
these abstractions are very interesting. The titles are important in your work and they are part of the paintings, even more than other artists. Great !!!
Thanks Óscar! I almost always used to write something on them and the text served as the title but lately I've been wanting to leave them without text - but yes, the titles are still really important and I admit I do enjoy coming up with them. Incidentally, I have a few abstracts that are untitled still that I can't figure out what to call and I'm thinking of doing something fun like a print giveaway contest for the best title suggestion.... I just have to figure out how to admin it :)
This is such a great image that I'm pinning it to my Pinterest public S6 favorites board with the hope that it will drive more traffic to your wonderful art!
Beautiful, spare, eloquent. I really appreciate how clean and simple your canvases are. It really accentuates how bold and graceful your abstractions are. The titles make the pieces that much more intriguing. These are very nice.
Just amazing integrity and directness.
Thank you Heather!
