What price meat?
What price meat?
"Frigorifico Mattias" sends this bloody airplane over my house to scream the price of meat at me several times a day. That is why it is the first thing I thought of sending into the "door to hell" ...

"Revenge is a dish best served cold." Great work, this.
Heather Goodwind commented on March 31, 2012 2:21pm
Thanks Geoffrey-I wasn't going to post it until I had a print file but it's going overhead right now and I thought it would be a better way of venting than buying a shotgun. :)
Geoffrey Agrons commented on March 31, 2012 2:24pm
While you would likely be acquitted by a jury of your peers, I'm still glad you chose the paint brush over the shotgun.

As I now think about it, much of your work is very cathartic! The viewer gets a great image, packed with passion and honesty & its good for you too, Heather! Win-win!
Heather Goodwind commented on March 31, 2012 2:44pm
Unfortunately, I don't have any peers here in that respect - I called the municipality to complain and they told me that I was the only one who cared. Wayne - thanks, I wouldn't exactly describe myself as a "process" artist but I do often get out my frustrations (and my joys) while working. ")
Heather Goodwind commented on March 31, 2012 3:49pm
Come to think of it - I'm open to title suggestions for the print version as I'm probably not going to name it "Frigorifico Mattias"...

Amazing piece, Heather!
Heather Goodwind commented on April 1, 2012 2:25pm
Oh, thanks you guys, I think I needed a bit of empathy on this, I'm feeling a little better now. Angela - "Shotgun" would be a good title, I was also thinking "Door to Hell" but I don't know...
Óscar S. Cesteros commented on April 2, 2012 1:55am
'Frigorifico Mattias' , horrible name in Spanish !!! good composition, with a lot of angry feelings... You should complain for the name too, absolutely awful
Heather Goodwind commented on April 2, 2012 11:12am
Thanks Óscar, I agree, the name is terrible and it plays over and over again in my head even when it's not flying over me now. What do you think about the title "La venganza de Santa Teresita?" (that is the name of the town I'm living in) - though I don't know if it would be a good name in English either "Saint Teresa's revenge" seems a little strange now that I think of it. I also considered "nada te turbe" (let nothing disturb thee) from her writings. Even though it's way more cryptic I kind of like it...

Muito Bonito!
Heather Goodwind commented on April 2, 2012 12:57pm
Thanks Nanaug!
Óscar S. Cesteros commented on April 3, 2012 1:18am
'La venganza de Santa Teresita' is good in Spanish, it sounds very 'Almodovar' and it is very perfect for this purpose. "nada te turbe", it would be the reply for the company to your complaints. You know: 'qué nada te turbe si el kilo de carne ha bajado de precio' and the airplane flyes again and again. Bad luck with this ad...

Great Heather!
Heather Goodwind commented on April 3, 2012 11:22am
Thanks Sofia, and thanks Óscar for the advice - I do like "La venganza de Santa Teresita" in Spanish - perhaps I can make that the official title and think about the English version for my S6 print post - maybe a translation but maybe something completely different. I find that the ones with English titles sell better here (and of course most buyers wouldn't see the description). Anyway, I only have two more weeks in this town and then it's goodbye airplane! :D
Óscar S. Cesteros commented on April 10, 2012 9:54am
Yes, "La venganza de Santa Teresita"... the translation is not possible, in Spanish this title has a southamerican or Andalusian taste with a lot of connections... for instance, "las yemas de Santa Teresa" is a typical sweet in Spain. This title could look like a traditional sweet, too.
Heather Goodwind commented on April 12, 2012 4:59am
That's so great, thanks so much Óscar! I'm thinking about leaving the English version as "What price meat" - everything else I come up with is a bit too forced or obvious. :) We'll see, hopefully I'll have a print file next month.
