Here are some details from the design because some of it gets lost when viewed from a distance. The original of this was done in really high resolution and unfortunately I had to reduce the file size to get it under the 50 MB limit.

Catherine - the original photoshop file with layers is a whopping 1.81 GB. The first time I converted it to a jpeg it was around 75 MB.

This is very cool...how did you create it? Was it hand drawn and scanned in or did you do it directly in Photoshop?

Daniel - it was a combo of the two. The main elements were hand drawn, the whale with graphite, the junk pile with micron pens & graphite. I drew them fairly large and scanned them at 1,200 dpi. Then colouring/additional texture/bubbles/lighting effects were done in photoshop.
