Fallen Giant
Fallen Giant
I was so sad to hear that Maurice Sendak has passed away and can hardly believe it. One of my biggest influences artistically and nothing short of a creative genius. Also a wonderful human being who made this world a better place.

He infused his work with pure magic and transported my imagination to faraway places. I can't even imagine my childhood without "Where The Wild Things Are".

RIP Maurice Sendak, you will be greatly missed.

I'm totally with you on this, Terry! Where the Wild Things Are--a Classic!!! I did not grow up with his books (in Germany), but fell in love with his pictures, and admired his style and imagination from the moment I first saw his books.

"where the wild things are" and "in the night kitchen" are childhood favorites that still inspire, that's an amazing feat!
