Canvas Print

DESCRIPTION

Fine art print on bright white, fine poly-cotton blend, matte canvas using latest generation Epson archival inks. Individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wrap over 1-1/2" deep wood stretcher bars. Includes wall hanging hardware.

Esle. My Nana. My prairie grandma. Her immigrant life is the story of so many Canadians. Successful, but of two minds. A loss of language. A loss of culture. Buildings made of wood, metal and concrete wrapped in tyvek. Cities on pasture land. Human sprawl. New Cultures born. Both creation and destruction.

When city meets country, where progress and tradition intersect, that's where this picture will be.

* This print was given away at the second free print show in September of 2011. It's more of an image study on my families past mixed with my thoughts and ideas about the present. It has led to create a much larger painting of the same subject.
