great!!! :) :)

This is striking, Joy. Reminds me somehow of the 1970 Antonioni film "Zabriskie Point". The photograph has the secondary benefit of proving the world is round. Who knew?
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on November 26, 2011 6:22am
Geoffrey, you are a veritable wealth of such interesting information & facts! I will have to look this up! I love this spot where the photo was taken ... it is about 400 feet above the water & is so expansive. Always makes me wonder about what is beyond the horizon! Thanks Carina! xo
Terry Fan commented on November 26, 2011 6:36am
wow, this is a really cool shot! Love the depth of field, almost looks 3-d.
Geoffrey Agrons commented on November 26, 2011 6:39am
A lovely compliment, Joy, but probably it just reflects an accumulation-like barnacles on an old vessel-of late 1960's cultural detritus ! Anyway, the movie probably seems quite dated now, but it was a cult classic of the counterculture back in the day, despite its utter commercial failure. Your cool photograph brought to mind the (in)famous montage filmed at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley.

at first I thought this shot was a composite; it does have an otherworldly feel--all that emptiness beyond. Amazing!
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on February 17, 2012 5:38pm
Patti - this is such a magical place. The people are actually on a large dune that soars 400' above the water!
Thank you!
