thanks Óscar, I hope one day the figures and the backgrounds, such as possible landscapes will come together, but it's fun to do just landscapes too, which can stand on their own as a piece of work.

Since my ears were burning, I might as well weigh in. Karien, in your hands a landscape has the same depth of feeling and mystery as your portraits. I find myself responding to this work in much the same way, as your sensitive brushwork blurs the distinction between people, trees, and earth.
