ALright Lindsey! ok I need some specs here - what plate size and ink are you using - also it is beautiful and i love it
Joe Carr commented on July 26, 2013 11:39am
is it aquatint?? and hard ground?
Lindsey Carr commented on July 27, 2013 4:16am
Thanks joe! It's about 16cm x 20cm, it's all drawn into hardground- no aquatinting! The tonal variations are all stippled using a needle...what happens is that between each stippled point the ink clings onto the plate giving it an overall tone.....so you don't see a lot of points really, you just see a gradation. I didn't realise this until after i'd printed it but it was a great learning curve!

Cheers Joe! Yeah, it was a right bugger to do - but I learned a lot.....prints turn out a LOT darker than expected.....
