Butterflies, to Go

This piece is an illustration of one of my childhood pastimes – catching butterflies. I would often try to take them home with me in clear plastic bags, and once at home I would release the butterflies on to the blooming potted plants. Shortly after I would let butterflies go, because they seemed sad.
