Invisible Things
Solo Show at Fabricate Cincinnati
Saturday, February 8, 2014
"I am fascinated by invisible things like music, creativity, energy, emotions, psychology, spirituality and the supernatural. The visual art I make enables me to explore and understand these intangible things. This body of work includes figments, portraits of imaginary people that I started drawing in June of 2006, right after my divorce was final. The characters that emerged represent how I was feeling during that time of my life. Now, as I evolve and learn from my past, I am finding that the characters are evolving as well—from stream of consciousness expressions of the negative space I was feeling to include humor, social commentary and pop culture references that I enjoy."
