when i had the idea for this piece, i was writing word lists and such when the lists became more of a poem; a response if you will.

more like a warning for those who continue to talk
fear me not when I’m your friend
fear me now I no longer repent.
talking…yet talk is of nothing
the words you spit are all too familiar
steppin’ on toes that walk for you
steppin’ on toes that dance with
with those whose eyes are blind
the visually impaired, viewed as a resource
ha
curse me not I remain myself
self is what you fear
self is what you hate
self is what you lack
myself is the target
Sticks and tones may break my bones but fear shall never shun me
so here I stand
arms out to lend a hand
spat upon time and time again
fear me not when i’m your friend
fear me now I no longer repent
out to those, you know who you are
