This is gorgeous, I just fall in love with every black and white watercolor you do - they are all so luscious and have such an amazingly delicate balance of composition and contrast.
Angela - I love your imagination! Those snowmen would be in trouble if the volcanos erupted!!
Thank you Heather! This is part of the series of b&w's that I created while obsessed with cracks in the concrete. I was unhappy with my urban surroundings and stared at these cracked concrete compositions to reimagine beauty; as an abstract landscape.
Thank you Teeth & Sandra! I actually cropped this from the original (to cut out a piece I really didn't like) so I wasn't sure if the composition still worked. Happy that you like it :)

This work is outstanding! Very beautiful, Jacqueline!
Thank you Rivers, Geoffery, Greta & Paul! So happy this piece is being so well -received. Geoffery - yes, I think this piece reflects my feelings about living in the city. My struggle to find beauty in the degradation, but it is also a testament for my love for the city despite its flaws.
Thank you so much Guido, Emma, Sarajea, Wayne & Landon! I like that everyone has a different interpretation of this. Landon, that makes me smile. Thank you!
It's difficult to walk the line between my art and commercialism. After all, I have to sell to allow me to create for a living. I will try my best not to disappoint!
