Thank you Laura! Creating is the best escapism, especially with color! Wow, thank you, Rich1 That is such a wonderful thing to say!
Geoffrey - then that makes two of us! I did title this because I felt the color was so striking that you can almost hear it. Also, this has a double entendre as my work usually carries with it an emotional element. The Sound also refers to my return to New York and my home town on the coast of the Long Island Sound.
I think this is my favorite of your recent watercolor works, Jacqueline! The colors are just so rich and vivid, so glowing. I love the layers, energy and movement of the piece. It seems like rolling, churning waves. Love that turquoise at the bottom!
Thank you so much Olga & Michael! I'm so happy to hear that, Judith. Living by the water has always been a great source of inspiration for me and I think that I can't help myself in making the visual reference. Watercolor is a medium that lends itself very naturally to this as well.
Thank you Oscar! It means alot that you mention the digital aspect, because it can be a fine line between just right and going too far. Thank you Sofia!
Oh yeah....'jersey-girl' here and summers down- at-the-shore! That's right Geoffrey. @ jacqueline....I love the connection...do you still have your accent?
LOL! Worm away Geoffrey! So Geoffrey - I guess you aren't BFFs with Snookie then, but Gale might be. :) It's funny; I never thought I had an accent until I moved to Cali and people told me that I did. But now that I'm back in NY, I KNOW I do not sound like a LonG-Islander. But, I do say cawfee. Otherwise, I don't think you could pinpoint my accent. I definitely do not sound like the 'Long Island Medium' - but I hear people talk just like her all the time and I can't believe I never noticed it growing up!
I've only met Snookie from a distance....when her boobs are on the tube. But, I admit, I got my hair 'did' AND my nails!! LOL I used to have the 'joisy' accent... and worked on it to flatten-it-out with my cousins, like a project one summer! I'm told I don't have one anymore, just absolute PERFECT english, of course! LOL
We're hi-jacking your feed, Jacqueline-from-Brooklynites!! xo
haha! You must be so brokenhearted Geoffrey :( I bet the accent sounds pretty harsh to you now that you've rid yourself of it Gale! Too bad you don't know Snookie; I would've asked her some parenting tips - one new mom to another. Secret admission here though - I am a former tanning addict!
----not to hijack your feed again, Jacqueline ---- but also you don't show up in my feed and many others that I follow. It's curious to me, what and who does get in our newsfeed? There seems to be a limit. IDK.
Hey Jacqueline.
Found your art here, on iPhone cases being sold on Etsy by Lynne Studio, owner Jason Rogalski. Join me in writing a note to Etsy and to the vendor?? Mine is on there too. I want Etsy and him to be bombarded.
Hi Gale. Thank you so much for notifying me. I was aware of his theft and I contacted him and reported his shop to Etsy. The bastard is still open and just got 2 more sales!!! I hope we can shut him down ASAP. Looks like a stubborn one.
So glad you are responding. I am posting on each persons feed with their image/art stolen....as much as I can to solicit sending notices and email to etsy admin and bombard this guy. I'm pissed.

.....oooo, nice about Long Island (I grew up in 'Jersey')
Apologies, Jacqueline. I really didn't mean to worm my way into your post! Well, maybe a little.
