This morning I noticed that Zachary Huang was featured on the front page with a piece that was eerily similar to a piece I just put up just a few days ago http://society6.com/murraymullet/Snow...-IdZ_Print . As I dug in a little more I noticed that he has borrowed many ideas from many of my favorite artists and illustrators. I am sorry but I will not stand by as people make money off of other artists hard work.

Please promote this if you are with me and also I would love to know how to report this person now and people like him in the future.

in art coincidences happen and even sometimes your inspired by a piece to create something you believe is a completely different thought but its not as far off as you believe. But this repetition is to the point of conscious behavior and not cool. To take someone's work and makeup it up is asking for trouble.

i wish there was a date posted to compare. or is there and im just missing it. because the one raiko said compare the comments show an older date for zach. Not saying your wrong Raiko, just plain curious at this point.

Sorry people, it's really shame on me. All my works which are inspired from other artists are all removed from the selling shift. In future, I will work harder to improve my idea, and check it more carefully. With my deep regret.

I agree some of these are way too close for comfort, it's good that Zachary has at least owned up to it.

Tripp Spraker - I was surprised to see a comment posted in "September 1 , 2011" on his "Falling Burger" design because that dates his image long before mine, but it doesn't mean anything because you can replace a file any time you feel like it and it doesn't necessarily even have to be the same design!

I'm glad S6 has this feature because it's really convenient if you need to replace an image if you've done any tweaks, but would also be a loophole if you were trying something sneaky.

Not to beat a dead horse, but he didn't really own up to anything. He said "All my works which are inspired from other artists" if he replaced inspired with stolen, that would have been an apology.

@Terry Fan- ah true. and yes i am glad that feature is there as well but your right if used wrong it would be very sneaky.

@zachary- it takes guts to own up to it and not disappear, if you try to set things right

I was going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt until seeing the rock and diamond one. And copying that particular one is just plain silly because it won on Threadless, so everyone's seen it!

This does raise an interesting topic - where is the line between inspiration and copying?

The molar bear one really did it for me, I love Zack Turrel's work of that piece and to see it so blaitantly ripped off in this way is sad. I had a look at his account, and his work just seems so schitzophrenic.

When you look at someone like Terry Fan's work or Kris Tates, you can tell right off from the mark it's their work, but this guy doesn't seem to have any pin point in his style or method, it really just looks like he's grabbed a load of work and ripped it off.
