The idea of living in nature just like nature has intended it is somewhat romantic.
However-we are so used to our comforts. Besides-what good is it to be in the most beautiful spot in the world, completely free from all the worries that money brings with itself, yet no means of internet? What good is it to be there and noone knowing about it?!
Our personal sacrifice of doing this "back to nature" thing is too uncomfortable to contemplate for most-therefore killing it (as in destroying nature) seems the easier option.
