An "eidolon" is a spirit-image; a shade or astral double of a living or dead person. This artwork is a dreamscape with archetypal symbols: the new moon [renewal], a hand-drawn sketch of a pelvis [cradle of life], a dark angel balanced on the edge of a misty precipice [the eidolon who visits the dreamworld to return with hidden knowledge], and the balance of light vs. shadow aspects in our psyches.

Dreams, tapping into one's subconscious, are the essence of creativity. This piece is a nod to that notion.
