THANK YOU, Sarah! I'm looking forward to Spring, but I've been cutting out and carefully arranging these pictures of flowers for the last 12 hours... feels like millions of flowers have burned their images into my retina & brain! The high resolution photographs were captured in two locations: Hawaii and Munich.
THANK YOU, Josie, Nina and Bruce! I made it 28 stripes tall, so on the x-large print each stripe would be about an inch wide... yes, it's a ruler too! ;-)
THANKS a bunch, Noirblanc, Lisa, and Deepti! It was only a matter of time till I made this picture... just like what "Copy Machines" did for deer pics (http://society6.com/wayneedsonbryan/C...ines_Print), and "The Big O" did for images with dripping paint (http://society6.com/wayneedsonbryan/T...tern_Print), this image follows the same strategy: the extreme to the point of patterned abstraction, stripping meaning, and rendering the subject matter to be interchangeable with any similarly shaped and/or colored thing.
THANK YOU so very much, Brian, Nicklas and Birgit!!! ;-) I think of the thousands of flowers not so much as flowers, but just textured color... it's like saying the same word over and over again until it ceases to have any significance beyond just being a sound.
