I don't why, but your decision to render the checkerboard floor as if viewed through a fun house mirror ties this all together for me. Great work, as always, Judith!

I'm happy you do, Sandra! That was not all that easy to do. My drawing paper is not smooth, so it's hard to get the lines straight!

It's the symbol for the royal family that ruled Udaipur (which means Kingdom of the Sun) in Rajasthan. The palace has a giant symbol just like your illustration at the entrance.
