Dreamy!

Gorgeous. Makes me a bit homesick. Now you've done it.
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on October 21, 2011 8:41am
Thanks much everyone. Aww, Geoffrey -so sorry! But I'm so loving autumn - although it is going VERY quickly this year.
Shuttervita commented on October 21, 2011 8:56am
I wish I could be there. This is dreamy, emotional and takes me back to my youth growing up in the midwest. :)
Shawn King commented on October 21, 2011 9:06am
Yes, Joy, you are giving me the autumn I won't see where I live, thanks! :)
Geoffrey Agrons commented on October 21, 2011 9:10am
This is my first late October living in the East Bay. Summer seems suspended and over-ripe, as if it needs to be cleared by a good frost (which is not in the cards). I'm not complaining-it's all very nice-but I admit I miss that defined transition to autumn. Your photo captures the very smell of it.

I'm speechless now.... just like Geoffrey, I'm also feeling homesick. So nostalgic & beautiful, Joy!
grandmat commented on October 21, 2011 2:08pm
It is a lovely picture!

Thanks everyone! Geoffrey - I've always been in the Midwest & can't imagine not seeing autumn. But after seeing all of you who miss it, I will not take it for granted again! It has always been my favorite season.xoxo

Geoffrey...how far are you from Dublin? I lived there before (losing my mind and) moving east. The East Bay tends to hold the heat awhile. ~ Tony
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on October 22, 2011 6:52am
Hey Tony! Not far from Dublin - 15 - 20 mins. I'm NE by New Albany, Gahanna & Westerville. I travel up to northern Michigan quite a bit & love exactly that about lake Michigan - it moderates the weather in the area. How long did you live in Dublin?
Geoffrey Agrons commented on October 22, 2011 7:47am
Tony, according to Google maps I'm 2,420 miles away. Thanks for asking.
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on October 22, 2011 10:10am
ahahahaha! I just looked too quickly! There is a Dublin near me! lol!
Anthony M. Davis commented on October 22, 2011 6:20pm
I was talking about Dublin, California in the San Francisco Bay area. I guess there's a bunch of them.
Geoffrey Agrons commented on October 22, 2011 6:28pm
Tony, sorry! I thought you meant Joy, and I was kidding, of course. I had no idea there was a Dublin, CA, about 30 miles east of me. I'm just north of Berkeley in Kensington. On this side of the hills there is a Mediterranean climate with alternating fog and sun, but I understand it tends to be warmer inland.
Anthony M. Davis commented on October 22, 2011 6:49pm
Hi Geoffrey, no problem. When I was a maritime investigator my office was in Alameda. I lived in the Dublin/Pleasanton area. I REALLY miss the arts, food, geography and culture. If the real estate market ever turns around I'll be selling and heading west.
Geoffrey Agrons commented on October 22, 2011 8:29pm
All the best of luck, Tony. I hope circumstances work in your favor and speed your move.
Esther Moliné commented on October 24, 2011 12:50pm
this one's my favourite of your latest ones, love it! Oh no, there's a Dublin in the States? I'd better add 'Ireland' to all those descriptions, lol
Geoffrey Agrons commented on October 24, 2011 12:52pm
No offense to the Americans, but yours is the original. Just saying.
Nelou Zikas commented on October 25, 2011 2:44am
absolutely breathtaking… always amazing Joy!!
Olivia Joy StClaire commented on October 25, 2011 6:27am
Thanks Nelou xo. Yes, lots of Dublins, I guess! We have a Dublin, Ohio - a suburb of Columbus. I'm always thinking locally & not globally (my own little backyard! lol). Thanks all!
